Waubonsie State Park, Iowa

Sunday, October 29, 2023 – 2 pm Start. This beautiful 1.5 mile walk will be hilly at times. (Options would be a .3 mile loop or simply sitting at the overlook to enjoy the scenery!) Meet near the pump house (square cinder block building) in the parking lot next to the Park Office at the crest of the park, north of the large campgrounds. The park is east of Nebraska City and in the Loess Hills of Iowa. Call for specific directions, if needed. Leader – Pamela M. 402-218-5714
NOTE: Due to the expected high of only 38 degrees and a possible wintery mix the day before this walk, the route and distance may be changed to a flat area and shorter walk. Dress for winter – coat, hat, gloves/mittens, and scarf and we will enjoy the woods! Pamela
