DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, November 16\, 2025     –     There will be two walk options in this beautiful park in The Loess Hills of Western Iowa.  the first will be walking out and back\, using the Fox Run Ridge Trail.  the second will take us down the hill into the woods an later back to the ridge for a scenic view of the Iowa countryside.  A walking stick may be helpful.  There is a $5 entrance fee. \nDirections:    Drive East on I-680 into Iowa\, which turns into County Hwy G37.  Once in Crescent\, thru left (North) at Casey’s gas station and drive 3.5 miles to the turnoff to Hitchcock Nature Center.  Meet at the Visitors’ Center in the park at the end of the road.

SUMMARY:Lake Zorinsky
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, May 17\, 2026     –     2 pm Start.     This 3.5 mile walk on a flat\, paved surface will be around the Eastern portion of the lake.  We’ll hope to see deer\, evidence of beavers\, etc. \nMeet at the NE parking lot\, just East of 168th St. and North of the lake.  A gazebo is located at the far end of the lot. \n

SUMMARY:Neale Woods
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, May 31\, 2026     –     2 pm Start.     This lovely walk in the woods will be about 2.5 miles.  We will hike to the northwest part of the woods to see the maidenhair fern.  It will be a hilly walk\, so a walking stick is suggested.  Bug spray may also be helpful. \nMeet in the parking lot near the end of Edith Marie Drive.
