SUMMARY:The Wetlands of Fontenelle Forest
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, November 9\, 2025     –     2 pm Start.    This 2.5 mile walk will be on a flat trail in the floodplain of Fontenelle Forest\, starting on the boardwalk\, proceeding past the observation blind onto the Hidden Lake Trail.  We will return on the same path and take the Marsh Stream and Pond Trails back to the parking lot. \nDirections:     Meet at the parking lot in The Wetlands just outside the entrance to Gifford Farm.  From Ft. Crook Rd in Bellevue\, turn East onto Childs Rd.  Proceed up and down the hills through the neighborhood onto the road leading into Fontenelle Forest.  Near the end of the road is Gifford Farm. \nLeader    –    Marlene K.    402-293-3852

SUMMARY:American Heroes Park in Bellevue
DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, October 19\, 2025     –     2 pm Start.     Although the initial portion of the walk from the parking lot will be paved\,  we will proceed to a one and one half mile walk in a wooded area north of the paved paths.  Part of the walk will be along the Missouri River.  Along the way we will see plaques detailing history of the area. \nMeet at the parking lot closest to the woods at the north end of the park.  To get there\, drive East through Old Town Bellevue on Mission Ave. and turn North (left) into the park just before reaching the Missouri River toll bridge.  Proceed past the playground all the way through the park\, ending at the parking lot where we will meet. \nLeader     –     Wilma V.     402-506-0962
